Part Time, Non-benefited Positions

Seeking applicants who are 18+ years of age with license to operate a motor vehicle.  Selected candidates must complete the Firefighters Skills Assessment Test and required medical clearances. Trainees will receive the minimum wage during their probationary training period.  Upon successful completion of the training period, s/he will become a regular member of the Call Force and earn $15/hr.  Must be available for Department drills (21 per year) and Emergency call backs such as working fires and station coverage.

                                ASSISTANT TOWN CLERK / ASSISTANT CLERK TO TOWN COUNCIL

Full Time, Benefited Position

Seeking customer service oriented applicants to assist the Town Clerk in providing comprehensive professional administrative, coordination, procedural, supervisory and training duties in the management, direction, and operation of the Office of the Town Clerk and Town Council.  Accountable for reliable and timely implementation of services relating to duties such as public information, records management, licensing, elections, census/voter registration, and as local registrar of vital statistics.

Associates degree in public administration, government, records management or closely related field, with B.A. preferred; plus three (3) years municipal work experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience, training and education demonstrating the ability to perform the duties.  Must be bondable and possess or have ability to obtain Massachusetts operator’s license.  Must possess or have ability to obtain Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) certification through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Town of Greenfield
Human Resources Department
Full Time Benefited Position; 37.50 hrs per week

Responsible for routine and general but highly responsible clerical and administrative support functions and activities to the HR Generalist and Director in a fast-paced municipal personnel department; must possess initiative, be a self starter and work with minimal supervision.  Must be flexible and have the ability to interact and communicate in a positive and effective manner.  Must ensure confidentiality of information. Associates Degree in related field desired, with two years of municipal personnel office experience and insurance enrollment or administration preferred.  MS Office proficiency required, including Excel; knowledge of Budgetsense desirable.
